The Lucky Paws Puppy Heartbeat Comforter is specially designed to ease separation anxiety as puppies transition from their mother’s side to a new home. Acting as a calming aid, it simulates the soothing presence of a mother’s heartbeat and warmth, helping your pup feel safe and secure. It also serves as a behavioural, training and comfort aid, reducing stress while promoting better sleep and easier settling in.

Our realistic heartbeat rhythm module provides soothing pulses that mimic a mother’s beating heart, helping to calm and create a sense of security. It can be found in one of the pockets inside the plush.

Please note that the heart module DOES NOT include batteries.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Unscrew the back panel.
2. Insert 2 new AAA batteries (batteries NOT included).
3. Screw the back panel securely back into place.
4. The ON/OFF button is located on the lower right side.
5. 8-Hour Timer: Press and hold the button for 2 seconds until the "8h" light turns on.
6. 24-Hour Timer: After setting the 8-Hour timer, press the button once again and the "24h" light turns on.
   
   To TURN OFF: Press and hold the button for 2 seconds until the light turns off.

After choosing the desired setting, insert the heart module back into one of the pockets inside the plush.

The heat pad generates comforting warmth for your pup, mimicking their mum’s body heat. Our heat pad is hassle-free and easy to use – simply open the packaging and it’s ready to go. Made from all-natural ingredients and activated by air, it provides instant heat and long-lasting warmth. All our comforters include 5 heat pads, with each offering up to 10 hours of continuous warmth.

Remember, only open a heat pad when ready to use. Once opened, it will heat up in minutes.

HOW TO USE THE HEAT PAD:

1. First, check for damage before use.
2. Tear open the packaging to expose the heat pad to air. Shake gently to start the heating process. DO NOT tear open the heat pad itself.
3. Insert the heat pad into one of the pockets inside the plush. DO NOT place it in the same pocket as the heartbeat. The heat starts to generate within 5 to 10 minutes.
4. After use, once the heat pad has cooled, dispose of it in the household bin.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:

Rinse immediately with cold water if inner contents come in contact with eyes, skin or mouth and seek medical advice if necessary. The maximum temperature can reach 68°C, do not place directly on your or your dog’s skin as it may cause burns. Keep away from children.

Can adult dogs use this comforter too?
Yes, it’s also beneficial for older dogs with anxiety, crate training, or adjusting to new environments. However, please note that this is NOT suitable for adult dogs who are chewers, as they will be able to destroy it if left to chew.

Can this comforter help my puppy settle at night?
Yes, the soothing heartbeat and warmth from the heat pad provide reassurance and comfort, helping puppies settle and sleep more easily.

Does it help with whining or barking?
Many pet owners find that the comforter soothes their puppy, helping to reduce whining, barking and restlessness.

Can my puppy easily find or get to the heartbeat and heat pad inside the plush?
No, we use a very strong hook and loop closure to securely conceal the hidden pockets. When closed properly, puppies won’t be able to reach them easily.

Is the fabric durable for teething puppies?
The plush is made from high-quality, durable materials, but it is not a chew toy - it’s a comforter designed for gentle cuddles. Supervision is recommended for puppies that chew excessively.

What if my puppy doesn’t take to the comforter?
Try placing it near their bed or pairing it with their favourite blanket. Most puppies adjust quickly to the comforting presence.

Does the comforter work for multiple puppies or litters?
Yes, the comforter can be used for multiple puppies, but it’s best if each puppy has their own to prevent competition or stress over sharing.

What battery type does it use, and how long does it last?
The module runs on 2 x AAA batteries, and they should last several weeks depending on use. Please note: batteries are NOT included with the comforter.

Does the heartbeat turn off automatically?
Yes, it has timer settings (8-hour and 24-hour modes) to help preserve battery life.

Is the heartbeat sound too loud?
No, it’s designed to be soft and soothing, providing comfort without being disruptive.

What if the heartbeat suddenly stops working or is faulty?
If this happens for any reason, please contact us, and we will send you a replacement free of charge.

What do I do if I need more heat pads?
Extra heat pads can be bought separately through our website. They come in packs of 10, individually packed, providing 10 nights of additional comforting warmth.

How do I activate the heat pads?
Simply tear open the packaging to expose the heat pad to air. It is activated by oxygen and will start warming up. Shake gently to speed up the heating process.

Is the heat pad reusable?
No, the heat pad is single use. It CANNOT be reused or reheated. WARNING: DO NOT MICROWAVE!
